Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica is a nutritious food that is considered to be highly beneficial for human health due to the number of nutrients it offers. The product claims to support immune system, cardiovascular health, brain, eyes and body cells in general. The company behind this supplement is called Nutrex Hawaii. It has been marketing different kinds of products since 1985. in Hawaiin ponds that receive sunlight for 12 months per year. Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica is said to contain spirulina of high quality and good taste in the form of tablets.

Company Nutrex Hawaii was founded in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in 1990 by an expert in microalgae and carotenoids, Dr. Gerald Cysewski. They intended to use the benefits of microalgae for health improvement of humans. Another product of theirs is BioAstin, a natural antioxidant for joints and skin. Other products include Hawaiian Spirulina Protein Shake, Nutrex Hawaii Ultimate Health Pack, Nutrex Hawaii Green Complete SuperFood Powder, Green Complete SuperFood Powder and Hawaiian Spirulina in different dosages in both tablet and powder forms.

Ingredients of Hawaiian Spirulina - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

The manufacturer of this product does not pay much attention to its ingredients. Hawaiian Spirulina is said to be a rich source of iron, Vitamins A, K1, K2, B12, such nutrients as GLA, carotenoids, SOD, and phycocyanin. It claims to contain more beta carotene than carrots and more protein than tofu. Besides, the makers say that Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica is a source of antioxidants and contains more nutrition per gram than any other kind of spirulina available on the market. To my mind, this claim is too bold as the makers of this spirulina could not check all the other spirulina products on the market. They also say that it is free of herbicides, pesticides, GMOs, soy, lactose, and solvents. This supplement is promised to be 100% vegan, 100% vegetarian, and is completely natural.

Hawaiian Spirulina

It is not mentioned on the official website whether this product contains any additional ingredients which means that the risk of this does exist. So, you are never guaranteed to be protected from possible allergic reactions and side effects. It is recommended to take six tablets a day (500 mg each tablet = 3 grams per day). Each jar contains 33 servings. It is a little more than 1 month's supply. It is advised to refrigerate the tablets after opening to enhance their freshness.

Generally speaking, Spirulina is grown in Hawaii and promises to have a much better taste than that grown in China and India. Nutrex offers spriulina of high quality, according to the manufacturer, however, there is one big concern about this supplement. It is not considered USDA Certified Organic. The official website of Nutrex claims that their spirulina has a few advantages over the others. It is grown on the bright Kona coast in a BioSecure Zone. Nutrex Hawaii farmers are said not to use any genetically modified organisms or harmful pesticides.

Hawaiian Spirulina is cultured with ultra-pure deep ocean water with the use of Ocean Chill Drying, a patented system that dries the algae in just 3-7 seconds to maintain its humidity and preserve the phytonutrients. They also claim to use some special packaging which preserves the freshness of the product. All these claims sound very promising, however, they have never been checked.

Customer Reviews - Does It Have Any Side Effects?

As a matter of fact, the manufacturer of Hawaiian Spirulina says nothing about side effects of this supplement. They only claim that it is all-natural and is cultivated in a BioSecure Zone free of herbicides, pesticides, and GMOs. Believe it or not, but even completely natural products may lead to adverse reactions. The quality of this product can be reduced with the use of additives which are not even mentioned by the makers. Spirulina cannot be safe for everyone because each of us is individual with our own level of sensitivity.

Hawaiian Spirulina does contain iodine which can cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to this component. That's why patients with hyperparathyroidism should not take the supplement. People who allergic or extremely sensitive to seafood or seaweed are also at a higher risk of side effects. Spirulina should be avoided by those who have a fever. Let us have a look at some spirulina testimonials to learn how real users react to the supplement.

"I can suppose that Hawaiian Spirulina contains also other additives, maybe, magnesium stearate, because after taking this product I feel a burden in my stomach. My cat eats seaweed, I will give him the remained tablets. Waste of money!"

"I have read many positive reviews about HawaiianSpirulina on their official website. even though I am a relatively healthy person I noticed some problems in my colon when using this supplement. I felt pain in my abdomen and in my back, I couldn't sleep all night. I went to the doctor and he told me to stop using this product"

"I began taking Hawaiian Spirulina with two tablets but I experienced serious twists in my stomach. This is a terrible thing! I took the supplement three times and had the same reaction each time. I don't think that I will continue using this product"

Where To Buy Hawaiian Spirulina?

The official website sells Hawaiian Spirulina (500mg, 200 tablets) for $21. You can buy it from Amazon for only $19. It doesn't seem to be an expensive product but taking into account its low effectiveness and possible side effects, I don't think that it is worth the money.

My Final Summary

I cannot recommend Hawaiian Spirulina to usage due to the number of disadvantages. The claims on the official website seem to be very encouraging and promising, but they don't prove truthful in reality. Some people claim that the product does not work for them, while others complain of experiencing unpleasant side effects. The supplement is affordable and is easy to find, however, I would not risk my health taking Hawaiian Spirulina.

Affordable Alternative

Many modern health specialists are sure that the problem can be perfectly solved by another product known as BrainPill and I completely agree with them because study many products of the kind. I recommend you reading my BrainPill review. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
